The Wendat (Huron):

The Wendat are an Iroquoian-speaking people. The Iroquoian peoples occupied the lower Great Lakes region and other areas in the southeast United States. The language group includes, along with the languages of Wendake, the Tionontateronon, Neutral, Erie, Wenroronnon, Susquehannock, Cherokee and the languages of the Five Nations. Iroquoian people inhabited the villages of Hochelaga and Stadacona in the St. Lawrence valley. These two peoples disappeared, however, some time in the 16th century. The Wendat, themselves, may have spoken more than one language or simply different dialects of the same language. The first inhabitants of Wendake, the Attignawantan and Attigneenongnahac, spoke a common dialect. The Tahontaenrat and Arendarhonon, however, seem to have spoken different languages or dialects. In the case of the Arendarhonon, the difference was sufficient to discourage Jesuit activity for a time.
Iroquoian peoples shared more than related languages. Many cultural characteristics such as matrilineal societies and democratic systems of governance were common to most Iroquoian nations. With the possible exception of the Standalones near present day
Quebec City, all were agrarian peoples.

Weapons

Bows and arrows were one of the speediest weapons. The wendat used the bows and arrows to fast animals. For example, birds are not easy to hunt with a spear but when you try to hunt birds with the bow and arrow it will be easier. That happens because as soon as you let go of the arrow it will be easier. That happens because as soon as you let go of the arrow, it goes fast, with a lot of force. It really goes fast because the string that is tied to the curvy bow pushes the arrow with a lot of force which makes it go swiftly.

Harpoons were one of the methods of the Wendat. Harpoons look like a spear tied with a rope and with leather bag. There are small harpoons too.

Games

Some of the games they used to play were played with knives, spears, rocks, and sticks. They also used bows and arrows. One of the games was played with bone-rings and spears or an arrow.

When you are playing the game, there is a big ring with a grid made out of a string in it. The directions of the game are that someone in your team rolls the ring and one player from each team has to through the arrow or the spear at the same time. Who ever gets their arrow or spear in, they get a point.
