Eruptions: Wind and water

 

They used to travel in canoes through oceans, lakes, rivers, and valleys. Water ways were the highways for the First Nations.

Environment

 

     The environment provided nearly everything to meet their needs. The way of life  of Wendat was based on the cycle of the seasons. A few families were able to live in semi-per anent villages because of the plentiful natural resources and farming. Children were part of their motheras clan. Families were important and elders were respected. The children learned by following the elders. The children didn't go to school.

 

Habitat and Vegetation:

Habitat

 

     There used to be two or more families living together in one long house. They used to collect as much shelter, water, tools, weapons, vegetation, land, and energy they can to survive during the winter seasons.

 

Vegetation

 

     They hunted in coniferous forests, deciduas forests, tundra, and grass lands.
